The Polish Film Days CinePOLSKA will take place in Bucharest the weekends of November 27th -29th and December 4th – 6th. The screenings, which will run at the Elvire Popesco cinema, focus this year on the theme of courage. Most of the films shown are inspired from real events and allow viewers the opportunity to get acquainted with lesser known happenings in the history of Poland and Europe.
The event will open with a screening of Gods by Łukasz Palkowski, which tells the story of surgeon Zbigniew Religa who started the country’s first heart transplant program in the 1980s. Władysław Pasikowski’s Jack Strong, Anna Kazejak’s The Promise, Jan Komasa’s Warsaw 44 and Waldemar Krzystek’s The Photographer are also part of the program.
