The 11th edition of the Early Music Festival takes place between November 1st and November 28th, bringing numerous international guests to the capital.

Some of the performers at this year’s edition are: The Baroque Orchestra of the European Union, the Il Gardellino Baroque Orchestra (Belgium), Marcel Ponseele, Jan de Winne, Xavier Diaz Latorre, Andrew Lawrence-King, the historical dances ensemble Passeggio from Cluj, the Codex ensemble from Sfântu Gheorghe, and the early music group Parale from Bucharest.

The festival is dedicated to European music, from medieval pieces to Renaissance, baroque or byzantine music. The concerts combine music with visuals and theater, offering audiences a series of cultural stories coming from older times. Music is performed authentically, with historical instruments or their modern replicas.
Since 2006, the festival gathered over 150 artists from 14 countries, performing in approximately 50 shows, delivering master classes, conferences and presentations of historical instruments.
