The Human Trashcan, a crossover performance by Matei Visniec, will take place on December 1st at HOMEproject, an accommodation house located in Bucharest’s Cotroceni neighborhood.
The performance consists of a series of monologues by the Romanian dramatist Matei Visniec. Known internationally especially for his writings in French, Visniec asked for political asylum in France in 1987. After moving to France, where he received French citizenship, he wrote mainly in French. Between August 1988 and October 1989 he lived in London, where he worked for the Romanian section of the BBC. After 1989 he became one of the most performed playwrights in the country, with more than 30 plays put on in Bucharest and other cities.
The public is welcomed with mulled wine starting 19.00. The play begins at 20.00. Entrance is based on donations, the minimum one being RON 25 (mulled wine included).
