French operatic soprano Emma Shapplin will hold a concert in Bucharest on October 30th at Sala Palatului, starting 19.00.

Combining electro-pop, rock, synth-pop, and classical influences, Shapplin tackles gothic themes, including rhythms and lyrics of old Italian language.

Her most recent album is Macadam Flower, released late 2009. The album focuses on a solitary fictional character, Maddalena Kean, a young woman residing in the metropolis of her childhood who is herself the macadam flower.
