American jazz singer Kurt Elling will perform for the first time in Romania, on March 5. The concert is part of his Passion World tour, a project exploring the theme of love in a musical journey around the world. The performance is also part of the Jazz Night Out series taking place in Bucharest.

The Chicago-based and Grammy-awarded musician is one of the names known to set the standards of today’s jazz singers. He has been often compared to Frank Sinatra, although his songs are more epic and lyrical, quoting from Rumi or Pablo Neruda. All his 10 albums were nominated for Grammy.

Elling will be performing in Bucharest alongside his group members: Gary Versace (piano), John McLean (guitar), Clark Sommers (bass) and Bryan Carter (drums).

Tickets range between RON 85 and RON 145 and are available online on and in Germanos, Orange Shop, Vodafone and Domo shops, as well as in Cărtureşti and Humanitas book stores.
