Parents interested in developing their kids’ curiosity and ability to state points of view can book a philosophy workshop for them. The program starts on November 8 and will take place on every Sunday at a new place in town, Seneca Anticafe.
The philosophy workshops are designed in English, for kids aged 4 to 8, and focus on using philosophy to seek for interesting questions, to match the questions with the answers, to state our points of view and argue them. The workshops are planned to start with a story about courage or lack of it, Dragons and Giants by Arnold Lobel and end with a tridimensional book made by kids themselves.
Based on a method designed by the American Professor Thomas E. Wartenberg and successfully used in many schools around the world, the program is a new concept, adapted to the needs of children and aims to develop critical thinking and argumentative skills.
The fees are 40 lei / child / workshop, 60 lei / 2 brothers / workshop and 90 lei / 3 brothers / workshop. Appointments can be made at [email protected], mentioning the date, the name of the child and her/his age. Parents who wish to spend their time at Seneca Anticafe will pay a fee of 8 lei / hour directly to the host-venue.
