On its anniversary, Bucharest enjoys its very first international comedy festival – Bucharest Comedy Week, part of the Bucuresti – 555 de ani anniversary project. The festival takes place during September 22 – 28 and includes comedy shows and events.
One of the most special happening of this first edition is MP3 Experiment, set up by Improv Everywhere. So far, this manifesto brought out on the streets of USA tens, even hundreds of funny people who, together, managed to make passers-by laugh.
David Pogue, New York Times journalist, participated in an Improv Everywhere experiment and wrote: „It was hilarious. The crowd was young and fun, and the whole thing was orchestrated, planned and written exceptionally well. What a totally, totally cool idea: part mass hypnosis, part party, part comedy club… like a political rally, but with more to do. Find a way to be part of it.”
Set up for the first time in Romania, the event will take place this Saturday, September 27, at 17:00 in Herastrau Park, entrance next to Charles de Gaulle Square.
Detailed information about the registration procedure will be available both on the website: www.bucharestcomedyweek.ro, and on the page www.facebook.com/bucharestcomedyweek or on the MP3 experiment event page.
