Subtitles in English will be available by request once more for two performances at Odeon Theatre this week: Typographic Capital Letters/ Tipografic Majuscul by Gianina Cărbunariu on Friday, February 6, and Tlicked/ Blifat (pictured) by Gabriel Pintilei on Sunday, February 8.
According to director Gianina Cărbunariu, although “the script on which Typographic Capital Letters is based is a collage of documents and interviews, the play is an exercise of imagination, a fiction that attempts to question these traces of a reality in recent history and the way in which they help us understand the world in which we live today”. This performance is created in the framework of the international project Parallel Lives – 20th Century through the Eyes of Secret Police and has traveled in several tours and festivals worldwide. Tlicked is a comedy about an ordinary family in Romania. A flat with three rooms and an absolutely usual Sunday, a snapshot of Romanians’ everyday life… up to a point. Director Gabriel Pintilei, born on 30 June 1978, is also an actor of Odeon Theatre, scriptwriter and play writer. Read more about the play here.
