Pianist Plamena Mangova will deliver two concerts on the stage of the Bucharest Athenaeum on November 17th and November 18th starting 19:00. She will perform one of the most appreciated piano and orchestra pieces, Tchaikovsky’s Concerto No. 10. The concerts will be conducted by Boian Videnoff, founder and artistic director of the Mannheimer Philharmoniker.
The pianist will also deliver a recital on November 20th, also at the Athenaeum, when she will perform pieces by Brahms, Liszt and Ginastera.
Winner of several prestigious international competitions, she began her international career after winning the second prize at the Concour Reine Elisabeth in Brussels in 2007. She released her first CD the same year, which won the Diapason d’Or award. She performed with orchestras around the world, including the Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orkest, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Orchestre National de Belgique, BBC Philharmonic, Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonie Luxembourg, Saint Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra or the Verbier Festival Orchestra.
