ShortsUp is organizing a four-hour event called “Short Comedy Weekend” , starting on January 26, at Cinema Scala in Bucharest. The Short Comedy Weekend event offers a selection on the most amusing shorts films of the past couple of years from all over the world, some of which have won awards at Palm Springs, ShortFest, and Chicago International Film Festival. Among the films to be screening this weekend include “Dik” directed by Christopher Stollery (Australia 2011), in which a child’s picture opens a can of worms in his parents relationship. Another short film is a “Krass”, directed by Thomas Johannesson, and follows two brothers who have trouble with a rather frighthening client at their car wash garage.

The films will be screened on Saturday and Sunday from 20:00. Tickets can be purchased in advance from network at the price of RON 20 for one night and RON 35 for both nights.
