The St. Nicholas Fair will take place at the National Peasant Museum in Bucharest between December 4th and December 6th, bringing tens of craftsmen from all over the country and their products to the visitors of the event.
The public can admire and buy here: the Romanian blouse ia, jewelry, traditional hand-made shoes, baskets, pottery, toys, icons, carpets and a variety of household and clothing items as well as traditional food products: cozonac, honey, pies, the fruit brandy tuica and more.
Entrance tickets costs RON 4 and RON 2 for students and senior citizens. The fair is open from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm.
In Romania, it is customary that children receive on St. Nicholas’ eve gifts such as sweets but also a rod, if they didn’t behave.
