Romania hosts for the first time a concert tour dedicated exclusively to tango, as it was sang a long time ago, in Argentina. Three young musicians: Romanian cellist Razvan Suma and Argentineans Analia Selis (voice) and Julio Santillan (guitar) will perform together in 12 cities throughout the country.

Started on September 28 and ending on October 24, “Va place tango?” (Do you like tango?) continues the traditions of the other two concerts – “Do you like Bach?” and “Do you like Brahms?” – both held by Razvan Suma, cello soloist in the Romanian Radio Orchestras and Choirs. Bucharest will host two concerts from the tour: on October 22 at Sala Radio and October 24 at Teatrelli.

The program includes tango, milonga and valse standards signed by the greatest composers of the genre, from famous Astor Piazzolla to Carlos Gardel and Sebastian Piana or even creations of Julio Santillan, one of the artists performing in the tour.

The 12 cities where the concerts are planned to take place are: Iasi, Ramnicu Valcea, Botoaani, Bistrita, Cluj Napoca, Timisoara, Baia Mare, Targu Mures, Arcus, Sibiu, Pitesti and Bucharest. Performances in Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara will be accompanied by flash mobs.

Tickets are 30 lei , 25 lei and 20 lei, depending on the category, and are available on, in the Romanian Post offices, in Inmedio shops selling tickets, in Germanos shops and at the Sala Radio ticket office.
