The Bucharest Symphony Orchestra is holding a traditional New Year’s concert on December 28th at the National Theater in Bucharest. The concert starts at 20.00. The program includes a selection of well-known classical music pieces.

The orchestra participated in concerts and cultural events such as Bucharest Music & Film Festival, New Music International Week, The Masterpiece or The Beatles as performed by Bucharest Symphony Orchestra. It performed twice, together with Eric Lacrouts, prime concertmaster of National Opera in Paris and the pianist Pierre Réach.
So far, the orchestra recorded two albums, released in the spring of 2013. Named “Very Classic”, the first recording is signed by Marcel Pavel and features the most famous opera arias, chansonettes and crossover. The second recording was released in Brussels and is a recording of the complete orchestral works collection composed by Mel Bonis, a French impressionism era composer.

Bucharest Symphony Orchestra was established in 2006. Starting with 2011, Benoît Fromanger was appointed its Music Director and Principal Conductor.
