British violinist Nigel Kennedy is returning to Bucharest this fall for a concert set for October 16th, at Sala Palatului. After the Bucharest show, a second performance is scheduled for October 19th in Cluj-Napoca.

The performance revolves around Antonio Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. Composed in 1723 and published in 1725, the pieces will be reinterpreted by Kennedy with the help of an orchestra made up of 30 musicians.

“We are, after all, in the 21st century and I want to present a new interpretation of the works, something which I find vital in today’s modern world,” Kennedy explains. “We are all sensitive to music, I can say this without hesitation. I have performed Vivaldi’s Four Seasons so many times, probably thousands, and I want to give the best of myself. I hope that this new approach will bring an explosion of joy into people’s hearts.”

Kennedy made his debut in the classical music field but has been performing jazz, klezmer and other music genres recently.

Tickets, priced RON 100 to RON 350, are available in the Eventim network, at, in the Germanos and Vodafone stores and the Carturesti bookstores.
